BLAQapp has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Content or behaviour that sexualises, endangers, or exploits a minor is prohibited without exception, and is removed and reported to the appropriate authorities.
This page sets out our standards, how anyone can report a concern to us, and how we respond. It applies to every part of the service: livestreams, profiles, chat, messages, usernames, images, and gifts.
1. Minimum age
BLAQapp is not intended for children. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use the service.
If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we terminate it and delete the associated data. If you believe a child under 13 is using BLAQapp, report it using the contact details below and we will act on it.
2. Prohibited content and conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on BLAQapp. Engaging in any of them results in immediate removal of the content, permanent termination of the account, and referral to law enforcement where appropriate:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including images, video, audio, text, drawings, animation, or computer-generated material
- Sexualising a minor, including sexual commentary about a child, or content that presents a minor in a sexualised manner
- Grooming: building a relationship with a minor to facilitate sexual contact, exploitation, or the production of sexual material
- Sextortion: threatening to share a minor's intimate imagery in order to obtain money, further imagery, or any other benefit
- Soliciting, offering, or arranging sexual contact with a minor, whether online or offline
- Trafficking a minor, or advertising, promoting, or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a minor
- Sharing or requesting a minor's personal or contact information for the purpose of exploitation
- Off-platform CSAE conduct that we become aware of, where the account is linked to that conduct
3. How to report CSAE
Anyone can report a child safety concern, whether or not they have a BLAQapp account. We treat these reports as our highest priority.
- In the app: tap a user's profile or their name in a livestream, choose Report, and select a child safety reason. Reports can be made against any account, livestream, or message.
- By email: [email protected] — monitored for child safety reports. Include as much detail as you can, such as usernames, timestamps, and what you saw.
- You do not need to be signed in, or to have witnessed the content yourself, to report a concern by email.
4. How we respond
Reports involving a child safety concern are escalated ahead of all other reports and reviewed by our moderation team.
- We aim to review every child safety report within 24 hours of receiving it.
- Where a report is substantiated, we remove the content, permanently terminate the account, and preserve the associated records for law enforcement.
- We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the relevant authorities in Nigeria, and we cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement.
- We take reasonable steps to prevent a terminated user from returning, and we act on credible information about a user's off-platform CSAE conduct.
- We do not require a reporter to give their identity, and we do not disclose a reporter's identity to the account they reported.
5. Moderation and prevention
- Livestreams and profiles are subject to moderation, and our team can interrupt a livestream, remove content, or suspend an account at any time.
- Users can block another user, which prevents further contact.
- Hosts can remove and mute participants in their own livestreams.
- We keep records of reports and moderation actions so repeat behaviour can be identified across accounts.
6. Compliance and point of contact
BLAQapp complies with applicable child safety laws and regulations, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and applicable child protection legislation, and with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
