For users whose personal data is processed through Blaqapp, the relevant Blaqapp entity may act as a data controller or equivalent responsible entity under applicable privacy law.

The information we collect depends on how you use Blaqapp.

When you upload or livestream content, Blaqapp may process video, audio, images, speech, text, captions, metadata, comments, reactions, and other information included in or associated with the content. Depending on the feature and applicable law, this may include information about people who appear in your content. You should not upload or livestream another person's personal information without an appropriate legal basis or authorization.

When you use Blaqapp, we may automatically collect device information, usage information, and log information.

Depending on your settings and applicable law, Blaqapp may collect or infer approximate location from IP address, country or region, location information you provide, device-based location where permission is granted, and location associated with content. You may control certain location permissions through device settings.

We may receive information from payment providers, identity-verification providers, advertising partners, analytics providers, security and fraud-prevention providers, app stores, social login providers, business partners, and other users. If you use a third-party account to access Blaqapp, we may receive information permitted by that service.

We may use personal information to provide and operate the Services, improve Blaqapp, personalize experiences, facilitate creator monetization, provide customer support, detect fraud and abuse, protect accounts and the platform, moderate content, display and measure advertising where permitted, communicate with you, comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, enforce agreements, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud, and establish or defend legal claims.

Where required by applicable law, Blaqapp may rely on performance of a contract, consent, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests, protection of vital interests, and other lawful bases recognized by applicable law. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent where permitted by law.

Blaqapp may use activity such as viewing behavior, follows, likes, searches, and other interactions to personalize feeds, search results, recommendations, suggested creators, suggested livestreams, and other content. Available controls may allow you to manage aspects of personalization.

Blaqapp may use cookies, software development kits, pixels, local storage, device identifiers, and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, analytics, performance, personalization, and advertising. Where required by law, we will request consent for non-essential technologies.

We may disclose information to service providers, business partners, advertising and measurement partners where legally permitted, government or law-enforcement authorities where legally required or reasonably necessary, and parties involved in mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, financing, sales of assets, or similar corporate transactions.

Blaqapp operates globally. Personal information may be processed in Nigeria or other countries where Blaqapp, its affiliates, or service providers operate. Where required by law, Blaqapp will implement appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Retention may depend on legal requirements, security needs, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, account status, business requirements, and backups. When information is no longer required, we may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, object to certain processing, obtain portability, withdraw consent, object to direct marketing, receive information about processing, object to certain automated decision-making, and complain to a relevant data protection authority. Where applicable, Blaqapp processes personal data in accordance with Nigerian data-protection requirements, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. Blaqapp aims to apply lawful and fair processing, transparency, purpose limitation, data minimization, accuracy, storage limitation, integrity and confidentiality, and accountability.

If you are located in a jurisdiction granting additional privacy rights, Blaqapp will apply those rights where legally required. Depending on applicable law, these may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, and complaint rights.

If California privacy law applies to you, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain sale or sharing activities, subject to legal limitations. Additional California-specific disclosures and request mechanisms may apply.

You must be at least 13 years old to create a Blaqapp account. Blaqapp is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we terminate it and delete the associated data. If you believe a child under 13 is using Blaqapp, contact [email protected].

We collect your date of birth when you create an account and use it to apply our age requirements. Livestreaming, co-hosting, purchasing coins, sending or receiving gifts, and withdrawing earnings are restricted to users aged 18 and over. Because it controls access to those features, your date of birth cannot be changed in the app once set.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, authentication, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, logging, secure infrastructure, and incident-response procedures. No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials.

If Blaqapp becomes aware of a security incident involving personal information, we may take steps required by applicable law, including investigation, containment, regulatory notification, user notification, and remedial measures.

Where permitted by law, Blaqapp may send marketing communications. You may opt out using unsubscribe mechanisms, account settings, or by contacting us. Non-marketing communications necessary to operate your account or provide the Services may still be sent.

You may delete your account at any time from Profile then Settings then Delete Account in the app, or request deletion at blaqapps.com/delete-account without needing to sign in.

Deletion may result in loss of User Content, videos, livestream recordings, profile information, messages, monetization information, and other account data. Any remaining coin balance is forfeited and is not refundable. Some information may be retained where required or permitted by law for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, financial records, or other legitimate purposes; retained financial records are unlinked from your profile.

Blaqapp may link to or integrate with third-party services. Those services have their own privacy practices. Blaqapp is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties it does not control.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If material changes are made, we may provide notice through the Blaqapp platform, email, account notifications, or other reasonable means. The updated Privacy Policy will include a revised Last Updated date.
